This rustic 1-bedroom cottage pays homage to our country’s early history.
This is where eclectic styling unites old and new in perfect harmony.
Aboriginal art, rustic furniture and some pure Australiana touches imbue this cottage with a personality as rich and complex as our amazing history. The exquisite pieces of aboriginal art bring a respected ancient craft into the present, while the quirky ‘cricket bat’ lamp is pure Aussie larrikinism – just for fun!
The Australiana touches can be seen in the rustic treatment of the open veranda, the art, the furnishings, the rustic open fireplace and the ‘early settler’ style of kitchen. But don’t be fooled by this look. Behind the nostalgic designer statement is a kitchen that’s fully equipped and totally modern.
Your bedroom steps back in time except for one very important difference: our early settlers didn’t know today’s queen sized bed comfort; and their en-suite was ‘out the back’. Your bathroom is conveniently next to your room, and offers separate shower and toilet, plus an indulgent corner spa.
And while Friday Creek Retreat is great at any time of the year, we think winter is particularly enjoyable thanks to the open fireplaces and stacks of ready-to-burn firewood (winter months only). So come and curl up on the big overstuffed couches, watch the flames and dream.
