The 1-bedroom cottage that captures the spirit of Morocco.
A surprising, sophisticated and gorgeous hideaway with loads of Moorish flavours.
If you love surprises, then there’s a lot to love about this cottage. Outside on the rustic veranda, your hammock chair invites you to relax and sway in the pure, sweet country air … but inside you’ll discover this cottage is a little piece of Morocco, shimmering in the bushland at Friday Creek Retreat.
The interior is a cool and stylish backdrop for warm decorator colours inspired by a Marrakesh souk. Pack your favourite Moroccan spices because inside, the fully equipped kitchen with its dark granite bench tops, offers stunning inspiration. Throughout the cottage there’s a beautiful balance of exotic and subtle influences, such as the hand-painted basins and multi-coloured tiles in the spa and bathroom.
At the heart of the cottage, exotic furniture and the open fireplace create a totally romantic ambience, while your bedroom promises all the sanctuary of a Kasbah. The rich Pomegranate background of the ornate bed cover emphasises the minty green of the Moorish style bedside table; and the lamps seem crafted from pure Middle Eastern mystique.
But it’s at night when you switch on the Moroccan Star Light and cast diamond flashes of light around the walls … well, some say it’s even better than New Year’s Eve!

With the weather looking threatening, it was touch and go if all was going to happen as planned for an outside dinner for 30+ guests. However the heavens were kind, the rain held off and everything went according to plan. With the bride and groom doing all the organising themselves, including the...
