Summer has certainly arrived here at Friday Creek. Some steamy hot days to enjoy the pool, and lovely cool breezes in the cottages makes for perfect sleeping weather.
Everything is blooming here, from the Jacaranda and Poinciana trees to the beautiful yellow and purple water lilies on our lake.
The Jacaranda flowers are starting to fall and forming a stunning purple carpet on the ground below.
Our vineyard is thick with leaves and heavy with bunches of grapes. We are hoping for a bumper grape crop this year to be able to start producing our own wine for sale here at Friday Creek.
The Christmas holiday season is going to be huge for us, we have no vacancies from the 22nd of December through to the 8th of January. Quite a lot of guests joining us here on Christmas Day, where we will be providing drinks and nibbles in the pool area for all guest from 4-6pm.
There are some big events happening in Coffs over the next few months, where some accommodation has been booked out months in advance.
From the Oztag Junior State Cup in February, Touch Football National League and Oztag Senior State Cup in March and Easter break in April. So it’s going to be a big busy time leading into 2017.
Unfortunately we didn’t get Council approval through in time to complete our swimming pool deck extension prior to the Christmas break. But all approvals are in place now, and hopefully we will commence the work in late January. This deck extension is going to provide a huge area for guests to enjoy the pool area, BBQ and wood fired pizza oven, whilst enjoying panoramic views over the beautiful Orara Valley with our cattle grazing in the foreground.
I will keep everyone up to date with our renovations and refurbishments through this blog.
We could certainly do with some more rain here in the Valley, but despite lower than average rainfall, we are still very, very green in all paddocks, with plenty of spring water available.
