What a fabulous wedding we had here last Monday night around the pool. With the weather looking threatening, it was touch and go if all was going to happen as planned for an outside dinner for 30+ guests. However the heavens were kind, the rain held off and everything went according to plan.
With the bride and groom doing all the organising themselves, including the food, they were a little worn out by the time the event was over. However they were up early and organising all the family and friends to pack up and after saying their goodbyes, the bride and groom retired to our Santa Fe Cottage #9 for a blissful 2 nights alone to chill out and relax after such a busy week.
It was wonderful to see how comfortable it was for 30 plus guests on our pool deck with the beautiful night lighting in the pool and gardens highlighting the lovely candles and decorations provided by the bride and groom.
The bride left a lovely comment and photo on our facebook page which I will share with you here:- “Putting our feet up after our beautiful little wedding on the pool deck Monday night. This post would be an essay long, if I was to write everything I love about Friday creek. From the fresh ground coffee in the cottages, ( no cheap satchels here), the lovely artistic touches, and the absolute kind and friendly Judy and Stuart that run this little haven. So to keep this short I’ll simply say. Friday Creek- you’ll never want to leave, and you’ll definitely be back! We will!”
Thanks and best wishes to Donna-Lee and Mick for a wonderful future together.
We are so happy to see that our new pool deck is a fabulous venue for any sort of occasion and could easily accommodate 30+ for a sit down dinner, as this wedding was, or up to 50 comfortably for a more casual get together. Don’t hesitate to call us if you would like to discuss how Friday Creek Retreat can help you make your occasion memorable.
